Make an appointment online

You can make appointments to see a Doctor by telephone on 01920 830232, or by visiting our Receptionist. Appointment lines are open from 08:30 until 18:30, except on Wednesday when they are open from 08:30 until 13:00.

For same day appointments to see the duty doctor, please phone at 08:30 for a morning appointment and at 14:20 for an afternoon appointment (please note that on Wednesday only morning appointments are available).

For advance appointments to see the Doctor of your choice, you can contact us at any time during normal opening hours.

Extended Access

From October 2018, routine GP, Nurse and HCA appointments are available in your area during the evenings and at weekends, as part of an ‘Extended Access’ service for patients registered at practices in Hertford, Hoddesdon, Buntingford, Ware and the surrounding areas.

You are able to book routine appointments to see a GP, Nurse or other health professional in the evenings between 6.30pm-8.30pm and at weekends from 8am-1pm. Appointments can be booked in advance and some are available on the day. The clinics will be held in Hanscombe House surgery, Hertford.

For more information on the extended access service or to book (or cancel) an appointment please contact your practice during normal opening hours. If you require a same day routine appointment on a Saturday or Sunday please call 07535 086314.

Online Appointments

If you would like to be able to book appointments in advance via our online service, please speak to Reception. The online service can also enable you to order your repeat prescriptions online.

We would like to introduce SMS text messaging to all our patients so please make sure we have your mobile phone number in addition to your home telephone number.

Test Results

You can request your test results online alternatively please telephone for test results between 11am and 3pm.

Nurse Appointments

You can make an appointment to see one of the Practice Nurses, in the same way, for:

  • travel/immunisation advise
  • blood-pressure checks
  • family-planning advice
  • cervical-smear testing
  • Flu vaccinations/childhood immunisations
  • HRT/pill checks
  • suture removal/dressings
