Out of Hours
Outside of surgery opening times please call NHS 111
NHS 111 is a service that has been introduced to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services in England. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
From October 2018, routine GP, Nurse and HCA appointments are available in your area during the evenings and at weekends, as part of an ‘Extended Access’ service for patients registered at practices in Hertford, Hoddesdon, Buntingford, Ware and the surrounding areas.
You are able to book routine appointments to see a GP, Nurse or other health professional in the evenings between 6.30pm-8.30pm and at weekends from 8am-1pm. Appointments can be booked in advance and some are available on the day. The clinics will be held in Hanscombe House surgery, Hertford.
For more information on the extended access service or to book (or cancel) an appointment please contact your practice during normal opening hours. If you require a same day routine appointment on a Saturday or Sunday please call 07535 086314.
